Posting this week's SOTW a little late as I've only just begun to feel the parts of my brain that help me function properly again. We Out Here was predictably wonderful; after a rainy false start, we ended up having a really bloody good time. One of my favourite musical moments of the weekend was walking back from camp to find my friends, only for my ears to be filled with the most unexpectedly beautiful sound. It turned out to be Taz Modi, of Submotion Orchestra. In a weekend dominated by jazz on one hand, and house on the other, this dive into deeply cinematic music was a welcome change of pace. I'm so happy I walked by.
